Information you provide directly: your email address if you contact us, and any feedback or messages you choose to send.
Game data and statistics: your puzzle results, streaks, and guess distribution are stored only in your own browser's local storage. This data is never transmitted to us or stored on any server we control — clearing your browser data, or switching devices or browsers, resets it. We have no way to see or access your individual statistics.
Technical information collected via advertising partners: our advertising partners (below) may automatically collect technical information such as browser type, device type, approximate location, and IP address, in order to serve and measure ads.

To deliver the daily puzzle, respond to inquiries, maintain and improve the site, and meet our legal obligations under Irish and EU law. We do not use your information for anything beyond operating this word puzzle service.

We never: sell your personal information to data brokers, share individual game statistics publicly, or use your information for purposes unrelated to this puzzle service.
Under Irish and EU data protection law, you have the right to know what personal information (if any) we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, and receive a copy of it. Since game statistics are stored only in your own browser and never reach us, exercising these rights over that data is as simple as clearing your browser's local storage yourself.

Local storage (essential to gameplay): your streak, stats, and preferences are saved via your browser's local storage, not cookies, so that your progress persists between visits on the same device and browser.
Advertising cookies: our ad partners may set cookies to serve relevant ads, limit repetition, and measure performance, per their own policies linked above.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of ad personalisation through each network's own opt-out tools. Disabling local storage will prevent your streak and stats from persisting between visits.
This is a static website with no user accounts and no server-side database of personal or game data. Your game statistics exist only on your own device. Any email correspondence you send us is kept only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your inquiry.
Our advertising partners may process data outside the EU/EEA under their own compliance frameworks (such as EU-approved standard contractual clauses) — see their linked privacy policies for details.
Wordle.ie is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information via email, contact us and we'll promptly delete it.
